19.05.2006 Network SecurityA growing Toronto-Based company is looking to hire a Network Security Personnel. This is a full-time permanent job position. Your skills will enable you to fill the job description of: PC support in a networked office environment, troubleshooting e-mail, internet, and network issues. You will also be assisting IT Manager. There will also be occasional on-site client support. You must have your own transportation. You’ll be working with local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks and computer stations and peripheral equipment. You will need to be able to operate master consoles to monitor the performance of computer systems and networks and to coordinate access and use of computer networks. You will have problem-solving skills implementation skills and security procedures skills. You’ll be working in a fast-paced environment. The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines is critical. You must be able to give attention to details. You must be willing to submit to basic security clearance and criminal record check. You will also need to be willing to travel.
You will need to have completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training. Some university or completion of university.
You’ll need the following credentials:
Associate Computing Professional (ACP), Certified Engineering Technologist (CET), Information Systems Professional (ISP). You’ll need 1 to 2 years experience. You will need excellent communication skills, both written and oral. You must be fluent in English.
